Amends Section 10529 of the Unemployment Insurance Code to expand the California Workforce and Economic Information Program within the Employment Development Department.

Requires the labor market information system to provide a comprehensive search engine that includes a database of public higher education career technical education programs, career assessment tools, and a job search database.

Mandates that the search engine be made available to job seekers who apply online for unemployment compensation benefits.

Maintains existing requirements for the department to provide workforce and economic data to the state Workforce Investment Board and California Economic Strategy Panel.

Requires the Employment Development Department to coordinate with the State Department of Education, Community Colleges Chancellor, Department of Social Services, and other agencies in developing economic and workforce information.
