Local elections officials may offer voters the option to apply for vote-by-mail ballots by telephone, in addition to the existing written application requirement.

Telephone applicants must provide personal identifying information matching their voter registration records, including first and last name, home address, and date of birth.

Telephone applicants are not required to provide a signature for their application.

All other provisions of state law governing written vote-by-mail applications remain applicable to telephone applications.

Applications must still be submitted between the 29th and 7th day prior to the election.
