Amends Section 1310 of the Probate Code to authorize trial courts to appoint a temporary trustee to exercise fiduciary powers during pending appeals.

Permits courts to direct exercise of fiduciary powers when an appeal is taken, allowing operations to continue as if no appeal were pending to prevent injury or loss to persons or property.

Acts performed by fiduciaries under court direction remain valid regardless of the appeal outcome.

Appeals of court directions authorizing continued fiduciary exercise do not stay those directions.
