AB 2274 Summary

• Amends Section 12304.2 of the Welfare and Institutions Code to expand recipient choice in the In-Home Supportive Services (IHSS) program for aged, blind, and disabled persons

• Allows IHSS recipients receiving services through entities authorized by a federal Section 1115 waiver under the Social Security Act to select any qualified person to provide care

• Extends existing selection rights previously available only to recipients using contract or managed care providers to include waiver-authorized entities

• Defines "qualified person" as an employee of the contract provider, managed care provider, or waiver-authorized entity who is available and eligible to provide IHSS services
