Department of Forestry and Fire Protection authorized to collect recreational user fees for overnight camping and reserved group activities in demonstration state forests.

Fees are limited to the amount necessary to reimburse the department's costs for maintaining and improving campground facilities, associated recreational facilities, natural environment, and access.

All recreational user fees must be deposited monthly into the Forest Resources Improvement Fund and used, upon legislative appropriation, for maintenance and improvement of campground and recreational facilities.

Forest Resources Improvement Fund expanded to include revenue from recreational user fees in addition to existing sources of revenue from forest product sales and loan repayments.

Fund money in excess of amounts needed for operations shall be deposited in the General Fund.
