Exempts permanent food facilities with less than 300 square feet of display area that sell only prepackaged non-potentially hazardous foods from most California Retail Food Code requirements.

Facilities with 25 square feet or less of display area must comply with specific sections related to food labeling, Chapter 1 (commencing with Section 113700), and Chapter 2 (commencing with Section 113728).

Facilities with more than 25 square feet but less than 300 square feet of display area must comply with additional sections covering food operations, labeling, and other requirements beyond those required for smaller facilities.

Permits enforcement agencies to recover costs of investigation and enforcement related to prepackaged nonpotentially hazardous food facilities.
