Prohibits medical marijuana cooperatives, collectives, dispensaries, operators, establishments, or providers with storefronts or mobile retail outlets from locating within 600 feet of any public or private school serving kindergarten through grade 12.

Distance measurement is calculated as a straight line from the school property line to the closest property line of the medical marijuana establishment, disregarding intervening structures.

Exempts licensed residential medical or elder care facilities from the 600-foot proximity restriction.

Does not preempt local ordinances adopted before January 1, 2011, and allows cities, counties, and charter jurisdictions to adopt more restrictive location regulations.

Declares uniform statewide proximity standards for medical marijuana establishments near schools to be a matter of statewide concern applicable to all municipalities, with no state reimbursement required for implementation costs.
