AB 2790 Summary

• Amends Section 19596.2 of the Business and Professions Code to add the Arlington Million to the list of out-of-state thoroughbred races exempt from California's daily import limit.

• Allows thoroughbred racing associations and fairs to import and accept wagers on out-of-state races without the 32-race-per-day limit when races are part of the Arlington Million race card.

• Maintains existing exemptions for other major races including the Kentucky Derby, Kentucky Oaks, Preakness Stakes, Belmont Stakes, Breeders' Cup, and others.

• Preserves existing restrictions prohibiting wagering on out-of-state races commencing after 7 p.m. Pacific standard time without consent from harness or quarter horse racing associations in Orange or Sacramento Counties.
