Designates April 2010 as County Government Month in California to raise public awareness about the roles and responsibilities of county government

Acknowledges that California's 58 counties serve all 38 million state residents by providing essential services including law enforcement, health and human services, road maintenance, justice system administration, and municipal services

Recognizes that counties own and operate more than one-third of the state's maintained road miles and are responsible for ensuring public safety and mobility

Encourages all Californians to actively participate in their county government
