Requests the Department of Transportation to determine the cost of appropriate signs for this special designation and erect them upon receiving donations from nonstate sources to cover the cost

Honors Arnold C. Garcia, a Los Angeles County Probation Department group supervisor killed in the line of duty on April 4, 1994, who was the first department employee killed since its formation in 1903

Garcia was fatally struck in the head with a metal object while supervising a juvenile detention facility and is survived by his wife Alma and 11 children
