Designates April 26 through April 30, 2010, as West Nile Virus and Mosquito and Vector Control Awareness Week in California

Notes that West Nile virus caused 4 deaths in California in 2009 and infected 105 individuals across 19 counties

Recognizes that mosquitoes and other vectors (ticks, rats, fleas, flies) transmit diseases including plague, Lyme disease, encephalitis, hantavirus, and babesiosis

Acknowledges that adequate mosquito and vector control, disease surveillance, public awareness programs, and elimination of breeding sites are essential prevention strategies

Directs the Chief Clerk to transmit the resolution to the Governor, State Public Health Officer, and the bill's author for distribution
