Recognizes April 26, 2010, as California Healthy Schools Day to promote healthy school environments across California.

Encourages schools to switch to less toxic cleaning products and implement indoor air quality management plans following EPA Indoor Air Quality Tools for Schools Program guidance.

Highlights that one in six California schoolchildren have asthma, costing schools an estimated $40 million annually in asthma-related absences, with poor indoor air quality and hazardous cleaning products identified as contributing factors.

Recommends schools provide staff training on best maintenance practices, use integrated pest management, ensure adequate ventilation, and purchase less toxic cleaning products through cooperative purchasing agreements while maintaining CDC and state health disinfection guidelines.

Directs the Chief Clerk of the Assembly to transmit copies to the Superintendent of Public Instruction, Secretary for Education, and directors of state public health, air resources, and environmental agencies.
