Establishes the California Task Force on Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics Education to promote improvement in STEM education across the state, operating until January 1, 2014.

Task force composition includes 11 voting members: Assembly chair and member (one from majority, one from minority party), two Senate members (one from majority, one from minority party), two K-12 STEM teachers, one postsecondary educator, and three business representatives.

Members operate on volunteer basis with no salary or expense reimbursement; task force accepts no state funding but may accept private funds and in-kind donations.

Required duties include holding at least one annual public meeting, developing an informational website, and submitting annual reports to the Legislature on task force activities.

Task force shall cease to exist on January 1, 2014, unless the Legislature enacts a resolution before that date to delete or extend the termination date.
