Proclaims December 3, 2010, as the Day of the Special Educator in California to honor special educators' service to pupils with unique needs.

Urges all Californians to recognize the dedication and hard work of special educators in teaching and supporting students with special educational needs.

Acknowledges special educators' roles in personalizing education, developing individualized education programs (IEPs), and coordinating related services and support.

Recognizes that special educators include special day class teachers, resource specialists, speech and language pathologists, behavioral specialists, occupational therapists, physical therapists, and other related professionals serving students in special education.

Directs the Chief Clerk of the Assembly to transmit copies of the resolution to the author for distribution.
