Recognizes July 4, 2010, as the 234th anniversary of the signing of the Declaration of Independence and celebrates the founding of the United States of America.

Calls upon all Californians and Americans to gain greater knowledge and understanding of the historical facts, circumstances, and timeless principles of liberty and equality that led to the Declaration of Independence.

Expresses the Assembly's heartfelt thanks, appreciation, and prayers to all members of the Armed Forces of the United States, both past and present, for their sacrifices in preserving and defending American freedoms.

Directs the Chief Clerk of the Assembly to make suitable copies of this resolution available for distribution by Assembly members throughout California.
