Physician assistants may perform physical examinations and sign attestations for documents required under Education Code sections 44336, 49406, 49423, 49455, 87408, 87408.5, 87408.6 and Public Utilities Code section 2881.

Physician assistants may perform physical examinations required for participation in interscholastic athletic programs.

Delegation of services agreements may authorize physician assistants to order durable medical equipment and approve, modify, or add to plans of treatment or care for individuals receiving home health or personal care services.

Physician assistants are established as agents of the supervising physician when performing authorized activities under the Physician Assistant Practice Act.

Conforming changes made to Education Code and Public Utilities Code to recognize physician assistants alongside physicians for medical examinations and certifications related to school employment, tuberculosis screening, medication administration, vision appraisals, and telecommunications device certification.
