Authorizes courts to order restitution for identity theft victims' expenses to monitor their credit reports and repair their credit for a period of time reasonably necessary to make the victim whole.

Adds identity theft credit monitoring and repair expenses to the list of economic losses that courts must consider when ordering restitution under Penal Code Section 1202.4(f)(3).

Applies to victims of identity theft as defined in Penal Code Section 530.5.

Became effective July 15, 2010.
