Extends indefinitely the requirement for health studios to acquire, maintain, and train personnel in the use of automatic external defibrillators (previously set to expire July 1, 2012)

Provides liability protections for health studio owners, managers, and employees who use AEDs in emergency situations, except in cases of gross negligence or willful misconduct

Requires health studios allowing member access during unstaffed hours to: deny access if facility exceeds 6,000 square feet, train all employees in CPR and AED use within 30 days of hire, maintain staffing for at least 50 hours per week, and inform members that trained staff may not be present

Mandates health studios with unstaffed access to submit annual reports to the Legislature (January 1, 2012 and three following years) detailing staffing hours and cardiac incidents occurring during unstaffed periods

Waives liability protections and primary assumption of risk defense for health studios allowing member access without trained staff present
