Allows persons with federal enhancement of survival permits to take spring run Chinook salmon in the San Joaquin River without additional California state authorization, if they notify the Director of Fish and Game and the director determines the permit furthers species conservation.

Permits incidental take of spring run Chinook salmon designated as an experimental population under federal law without state authorization if the Secretary of Commerce publishes federal regulations and the state director determines those regulations meet conservation requirements and minimize impacts.

Requires the state Director of Fish and Game to publish notices and determinations in the California Regulatory Notice Register regarding federal permits and regulations for the Chinook salmon reintroduction program.

Limits the authorization to terms specified in the federal enhancement of survival permit and restricts the provision's application to actions authorized by federal regulations, with state authority to deny authorization if federal regulations are inconsistent with state law.

Sunsets the enhancement of survival permit provision when the federal Endangered Species Act is amended to alter enhancement of survival permit requirements, unless a later-enacted statute extends the date.
