Extends the sunset date for establishing multifamily improvement districts from January 1, 2012 to January 1, 2022

Allows cities and counties to continue levying assessments on residential rental properties within these districts for financing improvements and promoting beneficial activities

Permits formation of new multifamily improvement districts until January 1, 2022, unless a later statute extends or deletes that date

Amends Section 36710 of the Streets and Highways Code
