Requires employers to provide employees continuous access to fresh, cool drinking water and encourages frequent water consumption during work shifts.

Mandates employers provide shaded areas accommodating all employees when outdoor temperature exceeds 75 degrees Fahrenheit, with 10-minute cool-down rest breaks available upon employee request.

Requires implementation of high-heat procedures (including buddy systems, supervisor communication, and close supervision of new employees) when temperature reaches 85 degrees Fahrenheit, and extreme-heat procedures (mandatory hourly rest breaks) when temperature reaches 95 degrees Fahrenheit.

Requires all supervisory and nonsupervisory employees receive training on heat illness risk factors, employer procedures, signs and symptoms of heat illness, acclimatization, and emergency response protocols before beginning outdoor work.

Mandates employers designate a person to ensure emergency procedures are invoked and document heat illness prevention procedures in writing, available to employees and labor division representatives upon request.
