Repeals provisions of Government Code Section 70047.1 that prescribed compensation for official court reporters in Stanislaus County Superior Court, as those provisions were rendered obsolete by the Trial Court Employment Protection and Governance Act.

Establishes that judges of Stanislaus County Superior Court may appoint unsalaried official court reporters pro tempore as needed, who receive a per diem equal to 1/260 of Step 4 of the current hourly rate for superior court reporters.

Provides that the repeal does not affect retirement compensation calculations for any official court reporter hired by Stanislaus County Superior Court before January 1, 2013.
