Authorizes the Real Estate Commissioner to grant an original real estate broker's license to applicants with at least 2 years of general real estate experience who file an approved petition and pass the licensing examination.

Allows applicants to satisfy experience requirements through a petition process instead of requiring them to hold a real estate salesperson's license for 2 years prior to application.

Permits the commissioner to treat a 4-year college or university degree with a major or minor in real estate as equivalent to 2 years of general real estate experience.

Maintains existing requirements for applicants to file a written petition with the Department of Real Estate and satisfy other licensing requirements.
