Restricts beverages sold to elementary school pupils at all times to fruit/vegetable juices (minimum 50% juice, no added sweetener), water, and milk products, effective July 1, 2013.

Restricts beverages sold to middle and high school pupils from one-half hour before to one-half hour after the school day to the same beverages as elementary schools.

Permits electrolyte replacement beverages (maximum 42 grams added sweetener per 20-ounce serving) in middle and high schools only before school starts or after school ends.

Allows exceptions for school fundraising events and school-sponsored events occurring at least one-half hour after the school day ends, including through vending machines outside restricted times.

Requires school district governing boards to annually review compliance and prohibits waiving these beverage standards.
