Applies to officers of the Department of General Services of the City of Los Angeles who were transferred to the Los Angeles Police Department and are designated by the Chief of Police.

Removes the requirement that these officers requalify for firearm use every 6 months, requiring only completion of the introductory firearms training course per Section 832.

Removes the prohibition preventing these officers from carrying firearms while off-duty.

Defines "properties" for enforcement purposes to include city offices, buildings, facilities, parks, shops, yards, warehouses, and adjacent areas.

Struck provisions that would have authorized the Attorney General to impanel a special statewide grand jury for fraud or theft cases occurring in multiple counties.
