Limits deposition examination of witnesses to 7 hours of total testimony, except under specified circumstances.

Court must allow additional time beyond the 7-hour limit if needed to fairly examine the deponent or if circumstances impede or delay the examination.

Exempts expert witness depositions, complex litigation cases, employment-related cases, and depositions of designated most qualified persons from the 7-hour limit.

Allows deponents with terminal illness (certified by licensed physician) in complex cases up to 14 hours of total testimony (2 days maximum of 7 hours each).

Preserves existing rights of parties to stipulate around the limit, seek protective orders, or obtain court orders modifying deposition time limits.
