Requires the California Building Standards Commission to adopt standards for press boxes during the triennial building code cycle beginning on or after January 1, 2013.

Press box standards must require that press boxes be located on a route accessible to persons with disabilities.

Exempts press boxes located in bleachers with single-level entry points if aggregate press box area does not exceed 500 square feet.

Exempts free-standing press boxes elevated above 12 feet minimum grade if aggregate press box area does not exceed 500 square feet.

Requires separate calculation of aggregate press box area for each assembly area when a facility contains multiple assembly areas.
