Requires the State Department of Health Care Services to prepare a report on coverage needs for patients served by the Genetically Handicapped Persons Program (GHPP) after implementation of the federal Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act.

Report must address wrap-around services not available through the Affordable Care Act, continued coverage for residual services and populations, and unmet medical needs for persons with genetic amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS).

Department may consult with stakeholders, GHPP providers, patients with genetically handicapped conditions, special care centers, and genetic disease experts when developing the report.

Department must submit the report to relevant fiscal and policy committees of the Legislature by January 1, 2015.

Section expires and is repealed on January 1, 2019, unless extended by later-enacted statute.
