Authorizes search warrants for tracking devices when information from the device would constitute evidence of a felony, Fish and Game Code misdemeanor, or Public Resources Code misdemeanor, or help locate a person who committed such offenses.

Requires tracking device warrants to identify the person or property to be tracked and specify a reasonable duration not exceeding 30 days, with possible extensions of up to 30 days each.

Mandates warrant execution within 10 days of issuance and requires officers to install devices during daytime hours (6 a.m. to 10 p.m.) unless the magistrate authorizes otherwise for good cause.

Requires officers to file a return within 10 days after tracking device use ends and serve a copy of the warrant on the tracked person or property owner within 10 days, though service may be delayed for good cause upon government agency request.

Provides that the law does not create a cause of action against corporations for providing location information and limits tracking device installation to within California.
