Amends Penal Code Section 13302 to allow public prosecutors to access their case management databases to respond to California Public Records Act requests for publicly disclosable information.

Clarifies that prosecutors are not prohibited by criminal history record confidentiality laws from obtaining information needed to fulfill public records requests.

Maintains existing restrictions on unauthorized disclosure of local summary criminal history information by criminal justice agency employees, who remain subject to misdemeanor penalties for improper release.

Allows information release by prosecutors only when responding to valid Public Records Act requests and only for information that is legally disclosable to the public.
