Authorizes district attorneys to send victim contact information and restitution orders to the Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation without victim consent if the district attorney finds it in the victim's best interest.

Allows victims to affirmatively object to having their contact information shared, which prohibits the district attorney from sending it to the department.

Eliminates the requirement that district attorneys inform victims of their right to object to the sharing of their contact information.

Requires that victim contact information remain confidential and not be included in court files or combined with any public documents.

Maintains existing authority for probation officers to share victim information only with victim consent.
