AB 2272 Summary

• Permits mobilehome park management to file petitions for injunctive relief against residents violating park rules or regulations in superior court with limited civil jurisdiction until January 1, 2016

• Allows temporary restraining orders to be granted for up to 15 days upon showing reasonable proof of continuing or recurring violations and great or irreparable harm

• Requires court hearings within 15 days of petition filing, with injunctions issued upon clear and convincing evidence of violation and lasting no more than three years

• Permits management to petition for renewal of injunctions within three months before expiration if violations continue or threaten to resume

• Classifies injunctive relief actions under Civil Code Section 798.88 as limited civil cases under Code of Civil Procedure Section 85, with the permanent provision taking effect January 1, 2016
