Amends Section 917.1 of the Code of Civil Procedure to allow courts discretion in setting undertaking amounts required to stay enforcement of judgments on appeal.

Establishes default undertaking amounts at double the judgment amount, or one and one-half times the amount if given by an admitted surety insurer.

Permits courts to set a different undertaking amount after notice, hearing, and upon finding good cause, deviating from the default amounts.

Clarifies that undertaking liability may be enforced if the party fails to make payment within 30 days after the reviewing court files its remittitur.

Makes technical, nonsubstantive changes to existing language, replacing "which" with "that" and reorganizing provisions into lettered subsections.
