Extends the statute of limitations for vehicular manslaughter charges when a person flees the scene of an accident to either the applicable time period under Section 801 or 802, or one year after the person is identified as a suspect by law enforcement, whichever is later

Applies to criminal complaints for vehicular manslaughter with gross negligence (Penal Code Section 192(c)(1)) and vehicular manslaughter without gross negligence (Penal Code Section 192(c)(2))

Overrides standard statute of limitations rules that would normally require charges to be filed within one year for misdemeanor vehicular manslaughter offenses

Allows prosecution to proceed even if the standard limitations period has expired, provided the defendant fled and was later identified as a suspect
