AB 2515 Summary

• Requires each grant application from tribal casino accounts to clearly demonstrate how the grant will mitigate the impact of the casino on the applicant.

• Establishes that Indian Gaming Local Community Benefit Committees must include this mitigation impact requirement in all application policies and procedures for grants from Individual Tribal Casino Accounts and County Tribal Casino Accounts.

• Appropriates $9,100,000 from the Indian Gaming Special Distribution Fund to the California Gambling Control Commission for grants to local agencies impacted by tribal gaming for the 2012-13 fiscal year.

• Provides that if the Commission on State Mandates determines the bill imposes state-mandated costs on local agencies, reimbursement shall be made pursuant to existing statutory procedures.
