AB 2660 Summary

• Adds Section 26708.7 to the Vehicle Code to exempt peace officer vehicles from California window tinting and glazing restrictions

• Applies to vehicles operated and owned or leased by federal, state, or local agencies, departments, or districts that employ peace officers

• Exemption covers vehicles used by peace officers in performance of their official duties

• Peace officers are defined by Chapter 4.5 (commencing with Section 830) of Title 3 of Part 2 of the Penal Code

• Approved by Governor on July 24, 2012
