Amends Labor Code Section 2751 to exempt temporary, variable incentive payments from written employment contract requirements if such payments only increase (not decrease) compensation under the written contract.

Maintains existing requirement that employment contracts involving commissions must be in writing and specify the method for computing and paying commissions.

Clarifies that "commissions" excludes short-term productivity bonuses (such as those paid to retail clerks) and bonus/profit-sharing plans unless the employer offers a fixed percentage of sales or profits as compensation.

Requires employers to provide signed copies of employment contracts to employees and obtain signed receipts from each employee party to the contract.

Establishes that expired contracts remain in full force and effect if parties continue working under those terms until the contract is superseded or employment is terminated.
