Requires the California Transportation Commission to include a summary of health-promoting policies, practices, and projects from metropolitan planning organizations in its next revision of regional transportation planning guidelines.

Summary attachment may include Safe Routes to Schools programs, multiuse recreational trails, pedestrian and bicyclist pathways, and programs serving rural transportation needs.

Establishes legislative intent that successful health and health equity projects from regional transportation plans be shared as voluntary state guidance while acknowledging that feasible projects may vary by region.

Recognizes that transportation planning significantly impacts public health and aims to address chronic disease, aging population, climate change, and health inequities in California.
