Approves continued study of 21 previously authorized topics by the California Law Revision Commission, including creditors' remedies, probate code, real and personal property, family law, evidence code, and criminal sentencing enhancements.

Authorizes two new topics for study: revision of the Fish and Game Code to improve organization and clarify provisions, and analysis of mediation confidentiality in relation to attorney malpractice and professional ethics.

Removes the topic of special assessments for public improvement from the commission's study calendar.

Requires the commission to submit detailed descriptions of project scope to relevant legislative committees before beginning work and to notify committees of any major changes during the project.

Invites commission staff to testify at committee hearings on bills implementing commission recommendations and requests the commission provide copies of recommendations to policy committee members reviewing related legislation.
