Amends Penal Code Section 830.1 to expand the definition of peace officers to include deputy sheriffs in Trinity and Yuba counties who perform custodial duties in county facilities.

Deputy sheriffs in these counties with exclusive or initial custodial assignments maintain authority statewide only while performing their custodial duties or other law enforcement duties directed during a local state of emergency.

Adds Trinity and Yuba counties to an existing list of counties whose custodial deputy sheriffs are designated as peace officers, alongside Los Angeles and 27 other specified counties.

Custodial deputy sheriffs' duties include custody, care, supervision, security, movement, and transportation of inmates in county custodial facilities.
