Extends indefinitely the operation of existing provisions governing automated external defibrillators (AEDs), removing the January 1, 2013 expiration date.

Requires persons or entities acquiring AEDs to maintain immunity from civil damages if they comply with maintenance, testing, training requirements, and regulations set by the Emergency Medical Services Authority and manufacturer guidelines.

Mandates that AED owners check devices for readiness after each use and at least every 30 days, maintain records, and ensure trained employees are available during normal operating hours.

Requires building owners to provide annual AED brochures approved by the American Heart Association or American Red Cross to tenants and post information next to installed devices.

Specifies additional requirements for K-12 schools, including annual staff notification of AED locations, designation of trained employees, and posting of usage information next to all AED units.
