Allows trainees subject to Section 4980.37 to gain hours of experience and counsel clients outside of the required practicum, retroactive to January 1, 2012

Permits trainees subject to Section 4980.36 to counsel clients while not enrolled in a practicum course if the lapse period is less than 90 calendar days and immediately preceded and followed by practicum enrollment or degree completion

Requires schools to coordinate all trainee experience hours with work sites, approve each site, and maintain written agreements detailing supervision methods and performance evaluations

Becomes effective immediately as an urgency statute to clarify practicum requirements for marriage and family therapist trainees
