Designates March 2012 as Irish American Heritage Month in California to honor contributions of Irish Americans to the country and state.

Calls upon people of the state to observe March with appropriate ceremonies, programs, and activities, especially on March 17 (St. Patrick's Day).

Recognizes Irish American historical contributions including 9 signers of the Declaration of Independence, 22 U.S. Presidents of Irish heritage, and significant roles in infrastructure development, military service, and business.

Acknowledges over 44 million Americans claim Irish heritage and continue contributing to American and California politics, economy, and culture.
