Removes the provision that makes inmates validated as prison gang members or associates ineligible to earn sentence credits when placed in Security Housing Units, Psychiatric Services Units, Behavioral Management Units, or Administrative Segregation Units

Inmates remain ineligible to earn credits only when placed in these units for specific violent misconduct offenses listed in the bill (murder, assault, rape, escape with force, weapons possession, arson, and similar crimes)

Allows inmates to earn sentence credits during segregated housing if they were placed there solely for gang validation, rather than for the specified misconduct offenses

Credits remain unavailable if administrative findings of misconduct are overturned or if the inmate is found not guilty in criminal prosecution for the same misconduct
