CA AB1764

Authorizes school district governing boards that require more than 2 mathematics courses for graduation to award up to 1 mathematics course credit for successfully completing an approved "category C" computer science course.

Encourages school districts to ensure computer science courses awarded mathematics credit build upon fundamental mathematics content and to submit such courses to the University of California for certification on the school's "A-G" course list.

Requires the Department of Education to submit a comprehensive report to the Legislature by July 1, 2017 on career technical education course enrollment, alignment with state standards, and graduation/dropout rates.

Makes Section 51225.3 inoperative on July 1, 2017 (or earlier if career technical education foreign language courses meet University of California and California State University requirements) and repeals it on January 1, 2018, unless extended by later legislation.
