Extends the deadline for county boards of education in class 1 and class 2 counties to decide interdistrict attendance appeals from 40 schooldays until July 1, 2018 (previously set to expire July 1, 2015)

Maintains the 30 calendar day decision deadline for county boards of education in all other counties on interdistrict attendance appeals

Allows county boards of education in class 1 and class 2 counties to conduct hearings through a hearing officer or impartial administrative panel of three or more certificated persons, rather than requiring full board decisions

Makes nonsubstantive clarifying changes to existing interdistrict attendance appeal procedures and notice requirements

Section becomes inoperative July 1, 2018 and repeals January 1, 2019 unless extended by later legislation
