Requires coroners to notify parents or responsible adults of children meeting the SUDC definition about the importance of taking tissue samples

Provides coroners with liability protection in civil actions for acts or omissions performed in compliance with these notification requirements

Establishes this as a state-mandated local program with provisions for state reimbursement to local agencies if the Commission on State Mandates determines costs are incurred
