Requires regional centers to classify vendors as Behavior Management Assistants or Behavior Management Consultants if they design or implement evidence-based behavioral health treatment (rather than only "behavior management intervention services").

Behavior Management Assistants must have a bachelor's degree plus 12 semester units in applied behavior analysis or behavioral health treatment with one year of experience, or two years of experience in the field; alternatively, they may be registered psychological assistants, licensed psychologists, or registered associate clinical social workers.

Behavior Management Consultants must have two years of experience designing and implementing behavioral health treatments, hold a license as a psychologist, clinical social worker, marriage and family therapist, or other licensed professional permitted to design or implement such treatments, and complete 12 semester units in applied behavior analysis or behavioral health treatment.

Requires vendors classified as either Behavior Management Assistants or Consultants to design or implement only evidence-based behavioral health treatments that are consistent with their experience and education.

Directs the Department of Developmental Services to amend its regulations as necessary to implement these requirements.
