AB 2079 Summary

• Allows employers to cure violations of wage statement law (Section 226) before a civil action can be brought under the Labor Code Private Attorneys General Act of 2004

• Removes subdivision (a) of Section 226 from the list of provisions where employers have no right to cure violations before an action may be brought

• Deletes obsolete provisions of law related to Section 1701.4, 1701.5, 1701.8, 1701.10, and 1701.12

• Requires the Fiscal Committee to review the bill, as opposed to previous no-review requirement
