Requires community youth athletic programs to provide written notice to parents or guardians of participating youth regarding the program's policies on criminal background checks for hired or volunteer coaches, effective January 1, 2016.

Notice must specify whether criminal background checks include state and federal criminal history information and whether the program obtains subsequent arrest notifications.

Notice must include contact information where parents or guardians can obtain additional information about the program's background check policy and the types of offenses the program screens for.

Defines "community youth athletic program" as an organization whose primary purpose is providing athletic activities for youth under 18 years of age and has adult employees with supervisory or disciplinary power over children.

Allows written notice to be provided through posting on the program's internet website and prohibits disclosure of confidential criminal history information in violation of Penal Code provisions.
